Michael's passions for photography run the gamut and he most enjoys capturing images of people and places and the interactions thereof. He is a certified Bella Pictures Wedding Photographer and until recently moving to Japan, shot weddings both for the agency and on a Freelance basis. He has been aggressively adding to his art portfolio.
Professionally, He spent two years as a staff photographer at the Marietta Daily Journal in Metro Atlanta winning two clip contest awards for Spot News in the Georgia Press Association monthly contest and earned many internal accolades at the Daily. He has been published by Holiday Inn featuring their eatery, Kem's Restaurant in Duluth, GA. He was published on the CNN.com front page during major storm coverage in April of 2006 and has been published in and had photo features in several issues of Cobb Life Magazine and Cherokee Life Magazine. His photos appeared in Business Climate Magazine in Pensacola, FL, as the art for the April '07 real estate feature and he was also published in the Winter 06/07 issue of CURE Magazine, a national publication focusing on cancer research.
In February of '07 he attended the National Geographic Traveler Travel Photography seminar in Denver, CO for further education in travel photography in anticipation of roaming the world.
Michael is located in Ebina-shi, Kanagawa, Japan and photographically, is actively seeking freelance opportunities.
